So it looks like Spring is well and truly on its way, so to celebrate...
We went shopping!

Aimee - Here is a late 40's crepe dress I bought from a stall on
Portabello. I decided that I should vary my colours, so here is one of the
first baby blue things I have! I really like baby blue with red! I have
rollered hair with a 40s marcel wave. I'm thinking of doing a tutorial on
this hmmmm....My dress is accessorised with a ribbon belt and little
bakelite buckle from Harriett's collection. In my hair are sweet silk 40's
flowers, also borrowed from Harriett.

Harriett - I bought this early 40s cotton frock from Portobello from a
nearby stall for £30, due to a few holes it had in the side seam. A needle
and thread later though and it was ready to wear for a night out on the
tiles! I have been looking for a day dress for a while and I fell in love with
its bold print, white collar and bakelite buttons. My bag and shoes are
from charity shops, and the silk flowers from my collection! You may
also notice I cut myself a fringe, more photos to come I promise, as
well as a few tutorials on vintage 'do's' with bangs!

Harriet - We also bought matching bakelite bangles! We have been lusting after all things
bakelite for quite a few months now and are very proud to have our own set, heres a fun
game try and guess who's hand is who's? I leave you with a sneaky glimpse of one of
our moves that we have picked up from our recent swing classes!
