40's tweed trousers, 40's riding jacket, 30's bag, blouse and fur all from charity shops.
This is Betty she is a 1956 New Hudson and I think we are in love. The wonderful street
style photographer Anne Berknecker photographed me out for a Sunday stroll down Columbia road last weekend, before I rode around terrorising the streets of Hackney
with my less then agile cycling. Anne is also responsible for this picture that she
took last winter which ended up in a full page spread in German Grazia! So thanks
again to her, and wish my little bike luck as she may be going to Holland soon to a
vintage bike show to get all her gears in tip top order.

Smashing bike, I'm sure she'll do fine getting to Holland... Are you riding all the way there?

Thanks ladies! I wish I was going to holland, unfortunately this may be a solo mission for betty in the capable hands of my bike repair man xx
ReplyDeleteGREAT bike. I need a new one. I moved into to a house by the beach and my bike rusted over the winter. :(
ReplyDeleteFantastic bike and you are stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love your cycling outfit!! Those knickers are so cute. ;) I have a pair of vintage linen riding trousers in a similar style--maybe I should dig them out and tailor them to fit for some cycling? (Which I do only occasionally; there are too many crazy drivers where I live to venture too far!) You've inspired me!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I like more - the bike or the SHOES!
