Heidi-ho,
So today I'm bringing you the second lot of the Berlin photos. I'm gonna call it 'Take 2' as its a mix of week 2 and 3. In week 3/4 Erika came and we all got a bit camera happy. Seriously, I've spent two hours uploading photos from four different outputs and that means that the posts aren't completely stylistically coherent.
I'm gonna start off with these pictures that Harriett took of me on a night out, I think we ended up at Neu Bar this night.
Lady H snapped and edited all of these. I really love them.
These are my fabulous Office shoes which didn't make it back home with me. I almost cried when they went missing from my suitcase. I'm also wearing a 60s dress from Beyond retro, tights (which I like to call fashionable leprosy tights) from Primark and socks from H&M.
A few days after this we got taken on a picnic with some Danish boys that we met at 8mm. They took us hiking up a mountain in South Berlin where you can see the whole of the city.

Goofy picnic smile.
Gorgeous picnic Harriett
The whole of Berlin.

In Kreuzburg, theres a vegetarian/vegan place called 'Yellow Sunshine' which Harriett took me to. It was so amazing.

Otherwise known as paradise.
Here's what I look like with my hair set with a fringe and a miserable face.
We also went to the Berlinische gallerie to get inspired by art and shit.

We managed to blag ourselves a press pass, we were very smug. Harriett's wearing a fabulous silk blouse she bought in Maurpark.

Really amazing work by Ellen Gallagher in 1965 who reconstructed advertisements aimed at black women in order to demonstrate how they play on racial insecurities.

Blouse from Maurpark, hat from Lewes, various silk flowers, silk slip from Beyond Retro and victorian style boots from Rokit.

Ulrich Baehr

The light was beautiful on this day. Harriett wore silks and chiffons with amazing edwardian style vintage snake skin boots that she bought at a flea market.

What the....

PUT A BIRD ON IT

PUT A HARRIETT ON IT
Then Erika got here....and there were three SLRs and instagram. SCHWOPS (the German word for whoops).
Join us soon for take 3!
Dame Aimee and Lady Harriett the third.
xx
P.s. Me and Harriett are missing Berlin a lot, we're currently looking for cheap German lessons incase we'll end up living there for longer. If anyone has any ideas how we could learn, get in touch, maybe you're German and want to learn how to speak English better. As always email brightyoungtwins@hotmail.co.uk .

You look amazing in a 60s style! Love it :) x

Lovely photos, Harriets's outfit is so lovely and ethereal. The sort of thing I used to flap around in in my own youth, have tamed it down a bit, I'm waiting until I can become quite old to pull it out again!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring pictures! Love Harriets look, makes me wanna go back 100 years
ReplyDeleteI really like the photo booth and pussy riot pictures, really cool seedy look. You both look wonderful as always x
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the moments where I think "How do I dare to be seen with you girls?" you always look so lovely!! xxx
ReplyDeleteIf you only knew how excited we are for your return! xx
DeleteGorgeous ensembles ladies, Harriet you have the best silk clothes ever, why is this? Listen to Rammstein perhaps, I know all the best rude words ;) xxx
ReplyDeleteAhh what a lovely post! Really interesting to see what you have both been up to in Berlin. And such fab outfits!
ReplyDeleteYay, looks as if I can now comment - thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust for you darling ;)
DeleteYou're both looking so special and wonderful. I would like to be able to wear Harriet's look, but unfortunately pastel colours don't look good on me cause I have red hair, freckles and my skin is a little bit yellowy. So I have to go for the warm autumnal colours that I love to death. But it would be nice to change colours sometimes. Hugs from the freckled Miss Maple
ReplyDeleteToo much to love in this post. Aimee, loving you in the 60's dress and as I have said before the picture of you with the fringe is HOT! Harriett I am quiet literally drooling over that Silk blouse. All your outfits are sooo beautiful. That picture of the lady with the dog is amazing. Can't Sophie teach you the Deutsch?
ReplyDeleteCheers babe! haaha I think Sophie will probably be kind enough to teach us a bit. Fortunately a lady has replied to our post and will teach us in exchange for some shopping tips. YAY! Ax
DeleteThe lilac sixties dress (and the whole outfit) is just gorgeous! Your Berlin posts make me jelous, I really have to go there some time.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to visit Berlin for years and you both are absolutely gorgeous, so I adore this post <3
ReplyDeleteThat art gallery looks amazing! I have a bit of a thing for German early 20th century art...such great examples. I'm desperate to go to Berlin, a couple of my friends from uni have been out there in the past year and said about how brilliant it is. It's on my list of must visit places fo sho'
